This remarkable century home is so full of history and love that we have to share it with you! Not only is it surrounded by fields of glorious veggies and delectable herbs but also forests of wild things and night skies full of stars. Piebird was born in 2005 out of a passion for resurrecting not only the glory of this house itself but the land around it as well as a sustainable, self-sufficient way of life. Every year we've added to the garden and we now have over an acre planted to sustain ourselves and feed our guests the healthiest food possible. We offer workshops in sustainable living from organic gardening to canning to herbal medicine.

With ornately embossed tin walls and ceilings throughout, Piebird exudes a delightful mix of rustic elegance and nostalgic adoration.

As it did 100 years ago, this landmark home sits amidst farmland and forest, nestled between branches of the South River and Beatty Creek, with boat access to Lake Nipissing.

Every meal is a special occasion here at Piebird, served either in the tea room or on the wraparound veranda. We offer an all vegetarian experience created with homegrown, local and organic produce and served with love.
