Carrots & Golden Carrot Chutney Wed. Oct. 13, 6-8 PM Sunday Oct. 17, 2-4 PM The carrots are picked fresh right from Piebird B&B's garden and are organic heirloom Danvers variety. If they like, participants can help with harvesting enough carrots for the session. Carrots are not only remarkably tasty but their bright colour on a pantry shelf on a dull winter day can be as good as sunshine. Here Deb will instruct on how to do pressure canning and water bath canning. Plus the evening snack will include carrot dips and carrot juice prepared by Sherry of Heal Thy Health. $55 per person, includes instruction, take home information sheets, recipes, sampling of goods and snacks. Snacks and tea provided by Heal Thy Health. Please call Piebird Bed & Breakfast at 724-1144 to find out about space and to register. All workshops are available anytime* by appointment for groups of 4 or more, if the scheduled dates do not suit you. *depending on seasonal availability of produce.
